Clearwater Crowns 6 New Ambassadors

Clearwater has new ambassadors.

Six young men and women were crowned before a huge crowd after Friday’s Heritage Days parade.

That crowd included royalty from a number of other cities and towns. They all cheered as each new member was announced.

This is the first year Clearwater has had boys participate in the ambassador program. Coordinator Nancy Gillham said other towns have had boys in their programs before, so this year, Clearwater put out the word and got some responses. The program also changed the age requirements a bit: Miss Clearwater (16-20 years), Junior Miss Clearwater (10-15), Little Miss Clearwater (4-9) and Junior Commodore (4-9).

Last week, the boys and girls talked to the judges as part of an ice cream social evening. Those responses were part of Friday’s crowning process.

This year’s new Clearwater Ambassadors are: Miss Clearwater Tiffany Chapman; Junior Miss Clearwater Madalyn Chapman; Little Miss Clearwater Emma Vrchota and Junior Commodores Bentley Vrchota, Jase Henderson and Brayden Galloway.

The new ambassadors participated in Saturday’s Clearwater Fire Dept. open house to get used to their new role representing Clearwater.

Monday, they’ll start a busy year of appearances representing Clearwater at the Cokato parade.

This year, the program also selected (unnamed) alternates in case any of the crowned ambassadors can not fulfill their obligations.

Stepping down after a year representing Clearwater were: Miss Clearwater Emma Marx, Junior Miss Clearwater  Addison Simard, Clearwater Princess Kaitlin Doege and Little Miss Clearwater Alianna Simard.
