Clearview’s Got Talent

Students at Clearview Elementary showed off their unique talents and creativity at the school’s annual end-of-the-year variety show last week, with 30 performances featuring a wide variety of entertainment from solos to skits.

The event kicked off with Profesora Jourdan’s class performing Substitute Skit. Three other acts featured skits during the show; Reese, Lauren, Anabelle and Elena with Bubblegum Skit, Lila, Claudia and Elena with their skit, Gonna Have a Good Day, and Henry and Ben with Who’s on First.

Numerous students showed off their dance moves, which included tap dancing, jazz and modern dance. Lauren, Riley and Weslie performed their dance, Dinero, Chance and Isabella entertained the audience with their dance Timber, and Riley shared her tap dancing skills with Grown.

Musical instruments were also featured, including Liam and Katie with a violin duet, and Tucker, Zadie, Thisbe and Emmaline with piano selections.

Two Clearview students performed with family members. Annabella sang Trust in You accompanied by her dad on guitar, and Ruby sang The Rose accompanied by her grandfather’s guitar skills.

Also on stage for the variety show were solos by Dominik and Hazel, hula-hoop skills by Blake and Zoe, gymnastic skills by Kali, a jump rope routine by Myla, a Tae Kwon Do routine by Jonathan, and a performance by Madison, Ian, Zoya, Abrahm and Ethan.

The show’s acts were introduced by student council members, and Ian, Howie, Micah and Ryant supplied between act entertainment, getting the audience laughing with their joke telling.

The event concluded with recognition of staff that will be retiring or moving to other schools next year, and appreciation for the audience, student council and staff.
