It was time for family fun at Clearview Elementary during the school’s annual Cinco de Mayo Family Fiesta Night last Friday.
After the school day ended, kids of all ages, parents, staff and volunteers filled the school back up to take part in the festivities, which included food, games and fun activities.
Young and old alike had fun making crafts and trying out fiesta-themed props at the photo booth, and the nail studio, face painting, tattoos and crazy hair were hot spots for the evening. The evening’s DJs kept energy levels high with fun, upbeat dance music.
Families could try their luck at a number of games, including the lollipop tree, Bingo, Frisbee and bean bag toss, Plinko and the duck pond. As always, the cake walk was a popular event throughout the evening, with contestants hurrying to get to a spot when the music ended.
There were also six ‘minute to win it’ activities, including cookie face, stack it up, stack attack, movin’ on up, nutstacker and junk in the trunk.
When it was time for a break, attendees headed to the cafeteria for beef and chicken tacos served with fixings, chips, salsa and water.
Clearview’s spring book fair was open during the event for attendees to browse and discover new books to purchase to take home and enjoy.
Family Fiesta Night was Clearview’s last family fun night for the school year. The school’s family fun nights are held to bring the Clearview community together to celebrate and just have fun.
