Members of the Clear Lake American Legion Post 354 and the Ladies Auxiliary held a special fund-raiser at McDonald’s Meats in Clear Lake last Friday morning. The air was alive with the aroma of roasting bratwurst and pork chops as a steady stream of customers lined up at the outdoor table counter.
The ladies Auxiliary was also on hand with advance tickets for the Sherburne County Fair carnival, and the bright red “Buddy Poppies” that make their appearance each year around Memorial Day. Auxiliary member Carole Iten said that all of the proceeds from the sales efforts will go to local veterans.
