Clear Lake Approves Final Levy for 2026

Prior to the Dec. 1, 2025 meeting of the Clear Lake City Council, the formal hearing for the state mandated Truth in Taxation was held.  There were no residents present and no comments were made.

At 7 p.m., the council met and a resolution approving the 2026 Final Levy, to be submitted to Sherburne County Auditor, was approved by all the members present, except for Mayor Tim Goenner, who was absent.  The total proposed levy was $440,000-$420,000 for the General Levy and $15,000 for the Fire Hall Levy.

Public Works

Tim Barrett from Public Works updated the council about upcoming repairs to be done to Well no. 3.  After consulting with Traut Companies, it was determined that an external check valve needs to be installed in the drop pipe above the pump.  The cost of the repairs will be $3,450.  The council approved that amount.
