The 2nd Annual Christmas Dinner will be held on Christmas Day in the banquet hall at Gily’s Bar and Grill from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is being provided free of charge by the Becker Community Holiday Fund, a non-profit group that came together to host the first dinner last year.
Organizer Wendy Borst asked area residents to “come together this Christmas and make this a joy filled day for everyone.” The group press release stated the following: “The Holidays can bring many of our community resident’s great sorrow due to the economy and the cost of daily living. Others may have a loved one that is serving and gone during this cherished time, or they may lack family to share this day with.”
All are welcome to come out and enjoy a day of great company, a good meal and beverage, and a visit from Santa Claus, Borst said.
