Celebrate Becker once again took over the High School Fieldhouse, with around 500 attendees attending the event last Saturday to learn more about area businesses, eat breakfast and just have fun.
The annual event is sponsored by the Becker Chamber of Commerce; this year’s co-sponsors were GLM Display and Arvig Media.
To get people excited about Celebrate Becker, fun events were held leading up to it, including a selfie contest and the Celebrate Becker Medallion Hunt, which was found by the baseball diamond at the BAC this year by the Dove family, Nicole and her children Abby, Wyatt and Gavin. Along with the $250 cash prize, they received Celebrate Becker shirts and Waffle It breakfast tickets, all of which were sponsored by Wruck Companies.
Attendees were greeted by members of the chamber upon entry, where they were invited to sign up for door prizes and purchase Celebrate Becker t-shirts. Liberty Paper once again handed out bags for everyone to hold information and freebies they received from the nearly 50 vendors in attendance.
Along with various food vendors to choose from, around 125 people enjoyed the all-you-can-eat waffle and sausage breakfast provided by Waffle It, which the Becker Cub Scouts were kept busy volunteering at.
Kids were excited for their chance to bounce around on the giant inflatables, people of all ages lined up for a free caricature from artist Bill Morgan, and almost no one could resist the cute dogs brought in by Wags & Kisses Rescue, a foster-based animal rescue organization.
Attendees were entertained throughout the day by demonstrations from Vision Taekwondo, Fitzharris Bikes, the Becker High School Robotics Club and the Sherburne Co. K9 Unit, as well as performances from Starz Dance.
The inflatables were sponsored by Becker Baptist Church, Liberty Paper, ASAP Septic Pumping and Wruck Companies. Celebrate Becker shirt sponsors included American Family Insurance, Becker Public Schools, Haller Realty, Sherburne State Bank, Becker Screen Print and Wruck Companies.
Celebrate Becker door prize donations were provided by Becker Chamber of Commerce, Marvel Nutrition, Alyssa Beehler - Hair Obsession Salon, Able Bodies Massage & Wellness, Studio 5, T-Nails, Café Pawz, Los Oritzes Mexican Restaurant, Pizza Depot, Insight Eye Care, Purple Prairie Botanicals, McDowall Custom Embroidery, Majestic Creations, LPI, Excel, Kiffmeyer Photography, Sherburne National Refuge Friends, Snap Fitness, Becker Spine and Sherburne State Bank.
