The  Becker Chamber of Commerce, along with the city, will be holding their winter celebration called Celebrate Becker, Sat., Feb. 25.

 

The Chamber would like to thank their event co-sponsors:  Becker Baptist Church, Xcel Energy, and the Citizen-Tribune Newspaper.

 

Below is a list of activities that will take place during the community-wide event.

 

Shirts (above, Mayor Tracy Bertram, her husband Mark and their Yorkie, Sheldon) are available for $15 (adult and $10 (youth). Buy your Celebrate Becker shirts and enter the “Shirt Selfie Contest” sponsored by Hubbard Studio.

 

Shirts can be purchased at the Becker Chamber, Becker Community Center, Becker Spine, Becker Community Ed and Sherburne State Bank,

The Celebrate Becker event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Becker High School Field House. The area will be brimming with businesses, food vendors, craft vendors and inflatables (vendor space and inflatable sponsorships still available).

 

Inflatable fun will give kids hours of bouncy house fun. For just $5, your child gets a wristband and they are available at the chamber booth. As an extra incentive, kids wearing their  CB shirts or buy a youth CB shirt at the chamber booth during the event for $10 can jump and play all day for free.

 

The Craft Fair runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the BCC.

 

The Fat Tire Bike Blitz runs at noon at Pebble Creek Golf Course. $500 prize to overall winner. It is sponsored by Lamere Cycles & Johnny Rock Bikes. There is still time to register with pre-race activities starting at 9 a.m. Demo bikes and track available for practice.

 

The Medallion Hunt starts Sat., Feb. 18, running each day through Sat., Feb 25 and is sponsored by Wruck Excavating. $250 is the prize for the finder. Clues will be available at: wruckcompanymn.com, facebook.com/beckerchamber and facebook.com/CelebrateBecker.

 

Snow Sculptures and Cross Country Skiing at the BCC will be going on all day (if snow available).

 

Participants can register to win a Clam portable fish house donated by Becker Chamber (grand prize), a portable radio donated by Xcel Energy, and other door prizes also given away.

 

Tickets are $1 per chance or six chances for $5. (Need not be present to win).
