Wednesday night, the Santiago Twp. Board of Supervisors discussed options for repairing the top ledge of the township building.
The board was informed the top brick ledge was deteriorating and would need to be fixed.
After discussing a number of options, Chairman Stuart Nelson asked to have someone look at the building and provide recommendations on the best way for it to be repaired so the board can make an informed decision.
Road and Park Reports
Supervisor Dave Jehoich reported graveling on roads has been occurring, as has grading on 67th Street.
He informed the board he’s still waiting on crack seal bids.
The board was informed new lights were being installed for the horseshoe area of the park, which had been approved by the Lions.
Other Business
A motion carried approving the tobacco license for Santiago Country Store.
The board was given an update on cleanup day. A discussion was held on what to do with the mattresses next year; 32 were brought in during the recent event.
The sheriff reported a slow month, with 37 calls for service.
The fire and rescue report wasn’t available at the time of the meeting.
The next Santiago Twp. meeting will be July 10 at 7 p.m.
