The Haven Township board moved quickly through their regular meeting Monday night, as they found themselves with no official new or old business on the published agenda as the session began.

 

The board did discuss a report on township road conditions submitted by the Bogart, Pederson engineering firm, according to Chairman Jeff Schlingmann. Those findings will be used to help the board plan for future township road projects.

 

In the update file, the board voted to approve a new 2016 contract with the Tri-County Humane Society regarding the handling of stray dogs in the township.

 

The board also discussed a plan by Sherburne County regarding the purchase of new voting machines, but the issue was tabled since the county is still seeking bids on the equipment, Schlingmann said.
