It was a short meeting, but a busy one for zoning issues at the Sherburne County Board meeting Tuesday.
Because the board chambers are under reconstruction, the meeting was moved to the Emergency Operations Center, and most of the conversation involved Lynn Waytashek presenting seven zoning requests.
To begin, the board approved the residential preliminary and final simple replat of Leech Addition, consisting of two lots (two existing residences) on 12.27 acres on 108th St. NW in Baldwin Twp.
They approved a conditional use permit (CUP) for David C. Jones, for a home business in an accessory building, (welding and fabrication business) on 7.27 acres on 108th St, in Baldwin Twp.
The board approved an interim use permit (IUP) for a small contractor's yard on 5.1 acres at 11230 276th Ave NW in Livonia Twp.
They approved an amendment to the Sherburne County Zoning Map to rezone a 9.06-acre property at Hwy. 25 and Co. Rd. 11 from an Agricultural District to a Commercial District, then approved a request by Zack Vickers for a CUP to allow single family housing on the property.
The board approved a negative declaration for a need for an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) because the information presented on the Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) is adequate for the residential standard preliminary plat of Oak Savanna at SELG Farm, consisting of six lots on 39.42 acres in Becker Twp. Then the board approved the residential standard preliminary plat of Oak Savanna at SELG Farm.
