The Big Lake Block party was held last weekend at McPete’s Sports Bar and Lanes. This year was the 10th year of the block party’s history, and lots of families made it out to enjoy some good old-fashioned shenanigans in the form of games, prizes, and food.

Some of the games included a water balloon dodgeball game, sponsored by The Wave Youth Center; bowling; mini golf; a BB gun range provided by MPI Manufacturing; a beanbag tournament; giant Jenga; fish pond; and several others. Prizes were given away to the lucky game and raffle winners, which included a giveaway of six children’s bikes and 100 gift bags.

The Big Lake Chamber of Commerce gives a big thank you to all the Block Party sponsors, and hopes to top the event next year.
