Big Elk Lake held its annual 4th of July boat parade over the holiday weekend with eight boats decked out in patriotic colors parading around the lake for the enjoyment of the spectators. The annual parade is part of the Briggs Lake Chain Association’s (BLCA) 4th of July series of events. 

 

Big Elk Lake is located in Clear Lake Township, and is one of four lakes that make up the BLCA, which also includes Briggs Lake, Lake Julia and Rush Lake.
