The Briggs Lake General Store in Palmer Twp. is hosting a Big Buck Contest for the 2020 deer hunting season.

Local residents are asked to submit photos and details to the Briggs Lake General Store by Sun., Nov. 15. The contest started Sat., Nov. 7 (opening hunting weekend).

Deer admitted to contest must be shot between Nov. 7 - 15. Pictures will be printed and displayed on the “Brag Board” inside the store and on Briggs Lake General Store’s Facebook page.

Prizes will be as follows: 2-5 Points – 1 Liter of Pop; 6-8 Points – 2 Liter of Pop; 9+ Points – 12 pack of Pop.

Most points on the board as of Sun., Nov. 15 will win the top prizes:

• 1st Place - $50.00 BLGS gift certificate;

• 2nd Place – BLGS sweatshirt;

• 3rd Place – BLGS hat.

So far, admissions include a 10-pointer from Grace Kampa, a 10-pointer from Nathan Hedstrom, a nine-pointer from Josh Mortenson, a six-pointer from Jada Isais, a 10-pointer from Colleen (Weis) Knafla and a three-point and a nine-point deer from Josh Stang.
