Becker High School senior Jada Soltau and junior Avery Boyer were selected to be members of the 2022-23 Minnesota All-State Choirs.

The selection process for students begins with auditions held in March of the previous year. Annually, over 2,000 students audition for the all-state performing groups, with only a few hundred students from all over the state being selected to be a part of this elite program. 

Jada and Avery participated in the all-state camp last August and performed at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis on Feb.18, 2023, during the Minnesota Music Educators Association Convention. The conductor for Jada’s All-State Mixed choir was Melanie Demore and the conductor for Avery’s Soprano Alto choir was Dr. Rosephanye Powell.
