Becker High School 10-12th grade band and choir students performed a holiday concert Monday to a packed house in the Performing Arts Center.
There was also a bell choir, an acappella group and two jazz bands kicking off the evening in the PAC and commons prior to the concert. The students offered cookies and hot chocolate for a free will donation to all the guests who arrived and all proceeds went to the BHS Food Pantry — which is an in-school food shelf.
All the performing groups included the acappella group, bell choir, Monday and Friday jazz, bella voce, concert choir, chamber choir, concert band and wind ensemble.
The music was conducted by Craig Vogl and Gretchen Bordson.
The students combined to perform the opening selection, Here We Come a Caroling and the closing selection, Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah.
Choir alumni were encouraged to attend and participate in the singing of the Hallelujah Chorus at the conclusion of the concert program.
