Veterans Day will have a different feel this year for Becker Public Schools, as the district will be offering a video to celebrate the important day. 

The celebration will have a couple of high school staff members playing key roles.

Craig Vogl, the high school band director, was instrumental in putting together the program this year.  Vogl has been a member of the 34th ID “Red Bull” National Guard band for the past 23 years and was deployed to Iraq in 2009-2010.

This year’s speaker will be high school social studies teacher Luke Salzer, a Marine Corps Veteran.  He spent five years in the Marines, stationed in both Japan and California.  He worked as a flight mechanic and chief chief for C-130 airplanes.  He ended his service as an E-4 Corporal.

The video will be available on the school website starting at 8 a.m. on November 11.
