Becker PD responds to domestic abuse incident

On March 28 at approximately 2 p.m., a complaint was made at the Becker Police Department of a domestic abuse. The person making the complaint had injuries consistent with being assaulted. The victim indicated that her boyfriend had assaulted her while at their residence located on the 12000 block of Willow Street SE, Becker. The victim was ultimately transported by CentraCare Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries to the St. Cloud Hospital and later released.

Officers responded to the residence and found that the male party had barricaded himself in the residence. Numerous attempts and requests were made to get him to exit peacefully from the residence.

The Police Department was able to secure a search warrant for the individual inside. After entry was made, the male was located hiding inside the garage and taken into custody without further incident.

No injuries were reported either to the subject or to law enforcement personnel on scene.

The male subject has been identified as Troy John Hansen (42), Becker, MN. He was transported to the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Jail and booked in on the charge of Felony Domestic Assault.

Deputies from the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
