Becker Man Arrested For Methamphetamine Possession

Big Lake Police Officer Guy Chaffee was on routine patrol, Jan. 19 when he observed the driver of a vehicle, Robert Haberman of Becker, in an area he was prohibited from entering as part of a court protective order. Officer Chaffee confirmed the existence of the order which stated Haberman, 31, could not be within a three block radius of the prohibited location. 
 
Officer Chaffee initiated a traffic stop with Haberman, during which time he placed Haberman under arrest for violation of a court protective order.
 
During a body search of Haberman, a marijuana pipe, marijuana and razor blades were located. A search of Haberman’s vehicle revealed a glass pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine. 
 
Haberman was transported to the Sherburne County Jail, during which time he was searched again. A plastic bag containing a crystal substance was located, this substance field tested positive for methamphetamine.
 
Haberman was charged by criminal complaint with possessing a scheduled substance (Felony) and violation of a court protective order. 
The Sherburne County Sheriffs Dept.  assisted with the arrest.
