Recent Becker graduate, Jada Soltau, was recently accepted into Ithaca College in upstate New York for her singing prowess. 

Soltau has been taking voice lessons with local teacher, Heidi (Hansen) Lecy, since she was in fifth grade, and her years of effort have paid off. Soltau said she has always felt a connection with music, and she has enjoyed becoming a part of the vocal community and growing up with theater and the arts. 

Soltau says she is excited to gain new experiences in New York. She says she very much enjoyed the culture of the school when she visited, as she found many people there who share her passion for the arts. 

“I’m blessed to have the opportunity to attend such an incredible school,” she said. 

Soltau says she hopes to pursue a career in musical theater, but will be happy doing any sort of professional singing. 

“Wherever I end up is God’s plan,” she said. 

This Becker grad is sure to go on to become an amazing singer, and is one of the next rising stars to come from the community.
