Becker Fourth Graders Hold Spring Concert

The gym at Becker Intermediate School was filled with music last week during the fourth-grade spring concert, Music is All Around Us.

Led by music specialist Holly St. Germain, the intermediate school’s four fourth-grade classes joined together to entertain the large crowd who attended the concert, which was kicked off with the always popular Star-Spangled Banner.

Next up was America, which featured select students singing the second and third verse, followed by Night Song, which featured students playing instruments.

Students showed off their recorder skills during Way Down South, with select fourth graders playing along. After City Life, Who Has Seen the Wind again featured students on instruments, and Listen to the Rain had select students creating a “rain storm.”

The final song in their concert, Play That Music, was a lively, boogie woogie number that had members of the audience tapping their toes along with the beat.
