Becker Mayor Tracy Bertram has proclaimed that this week will be “Kindness Appreciation Week” in Becker. The idea to create a week dedicated to kindness came from the Together Reaching Area Kids (TRAK) group. The group consists of staff from the schools, representatives from local churches, and health and safety personnel from the county. TRAK’s goal is to promote mental wellness in the community.

“We believe kindness is something that everyone can do,” said Mayor Tracy Bertram. “We thought it would be a great idea to help promote the simple things you can do to show someone kindness.

Becker schools will also be participating in Kindness Week.

Kindness Appreciation Week will take place this week, from Nov. 9 - 13. World Kindness day is on Friday, Nov. 13.
