Becker police arrested two teenagers — one from Becker and one from Clear Lake — on firearm charges and numerous other indictments related to an incident that occurred Tuesday evening.
At 5:36 p.m., Becker Police responded to a call of one person pointed a gun at another person on the 14000 block of Bank Street in Becker. When officers arrived, they learned the suspects — Derek Jesse Crossland (19) of Becker and Jovonne Marcus Garland-Millhauser (18) of Clear Lake — were in a vehicle that fled the scene but was currently located at a residence in the 12000 block of Stevens Ave.
A Becker Police officer (unnamed) observed two handguns in plain view in the vehicle. Later, it was determined the firearms were in fact replica BB guns.
An investigation ensued and a search warrant was executed which led to the arrest of the two subjects.
The two suspects were taken to Sherburne County Jail pending charges of making terroristic threats involving replica firearms, aiding and abetting, disorderly conduct and underage possession of alcohol.
No one was injured in the incident and the Becker Police Dept. was assisted at the scene by Sherburne County Sheriff’s Dept.
