Becker resident Toni Jai Handel recently got confirmed at the age of 31 and was able to take part in her first communion.

“Today is a new look on my life,” said Handel. “I know God is with me and with God by my side I know I can do anything! I especially enjoy the following Bible verse: The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still. Exodus 14:14.”

Handel and her grandmother recently spent 12 Tuesdays studying God’s word with pastor Darren Green of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Monticello.
