Area Veterans Day Programs Set

Clearview Elementary School
Clearview Elementary School in Clear Lake will host its annual Veterans Day program beginning at 8 a.m. on Tue., Nov. 11 with coffee and refreshments for attendees in the school cafeteria, according to Principal Sheri Rutar.
 
The program will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the school gymnasium with the Presentation of the Colors by the American Legion, and will feature active and retired military personnel as honored guests, plus readings and performances of patriotic songs by school students. 
 
The program is open to the public, and area military veterans and their families are especially urged to attend.
 
Becker Schools
All four Becker schools will host Veterans Day programs, beginning with the Primary School at 8:15 a.m. in the school gymnasium.  The Intermediate School program will begin at 9 a.m., also in the school gymnasium.
 
The Becker High School program is set to begin at 12:45 p.m. in the new Performing Arts Center, with the Middle School program set to begin at 1:45 p.m. in the same location.  All of the school programs are open to the public, and area veterans and active service personnel and their families are especially urged to attend.
 
Other Events
The Becker Area Senior Center is planning a Veterans Day event Tuesday at 10:30am and the Shepherd of Grace Community in Becker will hold a Veterans Day program in the church beginning at 2 p.m.
 
All of the Becker area programs will feature the Presentation of the Colors by the Honor Guard from Becker American Legion Post 193.  Programs will feature guest speakers, readings and performances of patriotic music.
