Area Libraries Plan Spring Events

Becker Public Library
The Becker Public Library will host a “Recycled Robots Workshop” Thur., March 19.  Children age five to 12 are invited to take part in a 4 to 5 p.m. creative arts program using recycled materials such as tin cans and paper clips to design and construct a robot. Attendance is limited and pre-registration is required. The workshop will be led by artist Jen Anfinson, and is funded in part by Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
 
 Toddler/Preschool Sensory Play Day will take place at the Becker Public Library Tue., March 24 from 10:30-11:15 a.m. Preschoolers will enjoy playing with puzzles, Play-Doh®, Lego® and other items that involve touch, feel and interaction with other preschoolers. It is a self-directed play time in the library to help children explore the five early literacy skills of reading, playing, singing, talking and writing.
 
Thurs., March 26, people of all ages are invited to the “Pre-Spring Break Afternoon Movie” at the Becker Public Library at 4 p.m.

Clearwater Public Library
The Clearwater Public Library’s book club for teens and adults will meet Wed., March 18. Call 320-558-6001 for title information. Newcomers are welcome.
 
Amateur geologists are invited to show off their agates and gear up for the first spring hunt in a program at the Clearwater Public Library. “Rockhounds and Rockpups” will take place Sat., March 21 at 10:30 a.m. First-timers are encouraged to attend this rock show for all ages. Pre-registration is requested.
