Area Farmer’s Markets offer locally grown flavors and hand made goods

Big Lake Farmers Market takes place every Wednesday through August 31 from 3-7 p.m. and every Wednesday in September from 3-6 p.m. at beautiful Lakeside Park. The market features free parking, live music, free kids activities, the Power of Produce Program, food trucks, and Senior Day on the second Wednesday of each month.

The weekly market features an impressive variety of homemade and home grown offerings; a plethora of wonderful things for sale. Some of the items available include fresh produce, canned goods (jam, salsa, pickles, asparagus, honey, mushrooms), eggs, scrumptious baked goods, home-made kombucha, beautiful  fresh-cut flowers, and food trucks. Fresh food ready to eat included (at a recent market) a mini donut truck, a food truck serving up smoked brisket, and ice cold, fresh squeezed lemonade. A recent market even included a band to serenade shoppers.

Big Lake Farmer’s Market will accept Snap/EBT payments and will also accept credit/debit card payments. For more information, stop by the information booth at the Big Lake Farmers Market. 

Becker Farmer’s Market is held every Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. through October in Becker Furniture World parking lot and offer a wonderful variety of locally made items for sale including produce, canned goods, The Kettle Shack food truck offers kettle corn and fresh squeezed lemonade, shaved ice (using natural flavor) and much more. Vendors are still welcome. For more information, contact the city of Becker at 763-200-4239 for an application.
