Annual Township Meetings Tuesday

Annual township meetings are just around the corner. Held on the second Tuesday in March every year, this year’s meetings are scheduled for Tuesday, March 12.

Residents are encouraged to attend their township’s meeting to voice their opinions on local issues and vote on their annual tax levy. In addition, many local townships are holding elections for township officers on that day; results will be announced at the meetings.

“Township Day’s annual meeting is a great place to talk about the future of your community and work with other residents in deciding how to meet those needs,” said Minnesota Assoc. of Townships Executive Director David Hann. “We urge every township resident to participate in grassroots government by attending their annual meeting.”
