Local resident Helen Hyttsten conducted a hands-on embroidery lesson at her home in Becker township last week upon request. Helen passed along embroidery techniques she learned from her mother, Della Henry (Foley), over 75 years ago. Helen has enjoyed the hobby her entire life and often donates her hand embroidered dish towels to local church auctions. Helen encouraged the girls to consider taking up needlecraft  and told the girls she thoroughly enjoys embroidering as she watches television.
