4 H Kids Preparing For The Sherburne County Fair

Every Sunday for the last few weeks kids from 4-H have been getting together, along with their mini horses, as they being practicing jumping, showmanship, obstacle course, and costume classes to prepare for Sherburne County Fair.
"Pony Practices" began in March at the farm of Sarah and Jason Kolbinger in Becker are open to all kids with mini horses.

Sarah and Jason have eight miniature horses out of the 22 participating at the Sherburne County Fair this year. They also lease mini horses to kids that don't have their own.
Sarah said “the kids put in a lot of time to get ready for fair and have accomplished a lot! Some of these kids haven't handled livestock of any kind before, so Minis are a great place to start kids with showing animals.

They make good friends, learn new things and build confidence along the way!”

The miniature pony show is Saturday at 8am at the Sherburne County Fairgrounds in Elk River.
