Two local women received slight injuries in a two-car crash at 2:45 p.m. Sunday at Co. Rd. 37 and Hwy. 25 South in Monticello.

Victoria Tina Drum, 19, Big Lake and her passenger, Cindy Corrigan, 19, Clear Lake, were westbound on Co. Rd. 37 and attempting to turn south onto Hwy. 25.

Drum was reported as failing to stop and was struck by a car driven by Jacinta Calhoun, 42, St. Paul. Drum’s car was a Buick LeSabre; Calhoun’s vehicle was a Ford Escape.

Calhoun’s other passengers, Jeremiah Calhoun and 13-year old Jacinta Higgins, were injured; all members of that vehicle were taken to Buffalo, with non-life threatening injuries.

Drum and Corrigan were taken to St. Cloud Hospital for minor injuries.
