Twelve Becker High School band members and 13 choir members attended the Granite Ridge Conference Honors Festival Jan. 6 at St. Cloud State University.
Each Granite Ridge High School selects their top instrumentalists and vocalists to sing or play in these elite performing groups.
Dr. David Mennicke, professor of music at Concordia, St. Paul, directed the honor choir and Jim Baxter, director of bands at Princeton High School, directed the honor band.
After a rigorous and enthusiastic day of rehearsals, the band and choir held a performance at 5 p.m. at Ritchie Auditorium on the campus of St. Cloud State University.
Gretchen Bordson is the Becker HS choir director and Craig Vogl is the band director.
