The Sherburne County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing at their meeting on September 21, 2021, at 9:05 a.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in the County Board Room located at the Sherburne County Government Center at 13880 Business Center Drive NW, Elk River, MN, 55330.  The purpose of the hearing is to take public comments on a request that the County abate the property taxes levied by the County on the property currently identified as tax parcel number:  65-120-1300 (formerly tax parcel number 10-120-1300).

The County Board will consider the property tax abatement request in connection with a proposal to construct a 151,710 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and a 30,000 sq. ft. shop building on the property.  The total estimated amount of the County tax abatement and business subsidy relating to the facility expansion is $1,451,625 over a 15-year period. 

A copy of the proposed terms of an abatement agreement will be available at the Sherburne County Government Center in the Administrator’s Office. 

All interested persons are encouraged to attend and comment.  Persons who would prefer to provide written comments rather than attend the meeting may submit written comments to dan.weber@co.sherburne.mn.us prior to the meeting.
