The Board Chair opened the County Board Workshop Meeting. Commissioner Dolan was absent from the meeting.

 

Promise Neighborhoods Program Information and Possible Future ARPA Funding Request.

Promise Neighborhood

Received an introduction and program description from John Smith of Promise Neighborhoods (St. Cloud), including information on a possible future ARPA Funding request. Morgan Family Foundation representative Vicky Morgan also shared her experiences working with Mr. Smith and Promise Neighborhoods.

IT Review of the Cloud, Market, and Innovation.

Update on 2022 Redistricting.

Auditor/Treasurer

Diane Arnold, County Auditor/Treasurer & Ken Selser, Elections Manager

Election Manager Ken Selser and County Auditor/Treasurer Diane Arnold provided the Board with an update on Redistricting 2022 based off of the 2020 Census. GIS Coordinator Brett Forbes was also present to provide additional information on the discussion.

Discussion regarding Format of 2022 Levy Resolution.

Auditor Treasurer Diane Arnold and staff reviewed County Board format suggestions for the 2022 Property Tax Levy Resolution. Guidance as provided on how to move forward.

ARPA Non-Profit Program Discussion.

Dan Weber, Assistant County Administrator, Tim Sime, Asst. County Attorney, Bruce Messelt, County Administrator

Assistant County Attorney Tim Sime and Assistant County Administrator Dan Weber discussed the potential parameters of an ARPA Non-Profit and Community Support program with the Board. The Board requested a future workshop to discuss funding priorities.
