Small Unmanned Aircraft System (aka Drone) Program Presentation.

Kyle Breffle

Director of Emergency Management Kyle Breffle and Investigative Sergeant Brad Muellner provided the Board with information and an update on the County's Small Unmanned Aircraft System (aka drone) program and related activities and applications.
Highlighted areas were the following:
- Authorization to Operate
- Reasons to Operate 
- Flying Capabilities
- Potential Uses by Other County Departments
- Provided examples of how they County has utilized the drone.
Solid Waste Administrator Dave Lucas and Public Works Director Andrew Witter shared with the Board how the drone could aid their departments with inspections of various items. 

Update from the County Assessor's Department.

Michelle Moen, County Assessor

County Assessor Michelle Moen and Deputy County Assessor David Selbitschka provided the Board with an update on the Assessor’s Office. The two presented a viewing of the Beacon System to the Board highlighting its latest features. A staff structure update was also provided.

Government Center Building Projects Discussion.

Dan Weber, Bruce Messelt, County Administrator, Michelle Ashe, County Recorder

Discussed the following Potential Government Center Building Projects:
1) Remodel of Old Veteran Services Area - RSVP Office/Recorder Storage Expansion
County Recorder Michelle Ashe spoke on the Recorder's Office's needs for the available space. Director of Maintenance Steve Becker provided information on the expansion as well. The Board provided consensus and direction on how to proceed with the project.
2) Board Conference Room Refresh 
Staff provided the Board with updates on the possibility of a bathroom remodel for the Commissioner Conference room. Due to the addition of a bathroom not being an option, alternative options were provided.
3) Board Room Logo Display
County Administrator Bruce Messelt provided the Board with options of logo size and placement for the Board Room. Consensus of the Board was reached, and staff will proceed as directed.
4) Staff Cafe Exhaust Project
An update was provided regarding the installation of a new exhaust system in the staff cafe.
5) Potential Future Storage Annex/Wash & Fuel Bay at Government Center
An update on storage facility for wellness van, other county vehicles and department equipment was provided and discussed.
