Received an Overview of and Update on current Solid Waste Management topics, projects, and issues. Solid Waste Administrator Dave Lucas provided a summary of the role of the County for Solid Waste Management and a general overview of the Solid Waste Management Plan (SWMP). Assistant County Attorney Tim Sime provided the group with the history of the litigation (statutory, regulatory, LGU/RGU vs. State). Lucas also covered Elk River Landfill license renewal, Monitored Natural Attenuation (MNA).
