CITY OF CLEARWATER, MINNESOTA

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Clearwater City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the council chambers at Clearwater City Hall, 605 County Rd 75 NW, Clearwater, MN 55320.  The purpose of the public hearing is to hear from the public, discuss, and take action on an ordinance extending the effective date of Ordinance 2023-06, an interim ordinance which authorized a study and imposed a moratorium on the operation of cannabis businesses in the city. The City Council previously adopted Ordinance 2023-06 pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section 342.13(e).  Although said ordinance is currently scheduled to expire on January 1, 2024, the City Council will consider whether to extend its effective date to January 1, 2025, as expressly authorized under the aforementioned statute.  Anyone desiring to be heard regarding the proposed extension may speak during the public hearing. A copy of the proposed ordinance extending Ordinance 2023-06 is available for inspection at Clearwater City Hall during regular business hours.
