MANAGING AGENTS OF A BUSINESS LOCATED
WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF BIG LAKE
VACANCY ON THE BIG LAKE ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (BLEDA)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Big Lake is presently seeking applicants to fill one (1) seat on the Big Lake Economic Development Authority (BLEDA). The 6-year term for this seat will run from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2029.
The BLEDA meets the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. and is an advisory group to the City Council on all economic development issues such as industrial/commercial development and marketing, redevelopment and housing needs pertaining to blighted properties, life-cycle housing, and full-service community issues. The BLEDA acts on these issues and forwards that information to the City Council for final approval.
Any City residents and/or managing agents of a business located within the city limits of Big Lake interested in serving on the Big Lake Economic Development Authority (BLEDA) and who have a business background or experience are encouraged to apply.
Applicants may apply for the position by submitting a letter which includes a description of the applicant’s employment and educational background that may be relevant to the position as well as their reasons for applying and their aspirations for the future of Big Lake.
