CITY OF BIG LAKE

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Big Lake City Council on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m. in the Big Lake City Council Chambers. The purpose of this public hearing is to consider street and utility improvements identified as the 2026 Street and Utility Improvement Project No. ST2026-1. Improvements include grading, drainage, storm sewer, watermain, sanitary sewer, curbing, turn lanes, sidewalk, trail, lighting system, reclaiming, shouldering, bituminous pavement, pavement markings and miscellaneous work. The improvements are located on:

172nd Street – US 10 to Prairie Drive;

Minnesota Avenue – 300 feet west of County Road 43 to County Road 43;

Minnesota Avenue – County Road 43 to 180th Street; and

Minnesota Avenue – 176th Street to 177th Street.

The area to be assessed for such improvements consists of all abutting properties. The estimated total cost of this improvement is $1,960,000. A reasonable estimate of the impacts of the assessment will be available at the hearing. All those interested are encouraged to attend and comment.
