NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Clearwater, Minnesota will conduct a public hearing on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., or as soon as possible thereafter, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 605 County Rd 75 NW, Clearwater, Minnesota. The public hearing will be held for the following purposes:

Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 161.164, the City of Clearwater has received the proposed layout for State Project 8611-29. The project alters access along the TH 24 corridor to partial access to align with access spacing guidelines and to improve safety and mobility along the corridor, increases highway traffic capacity at the TH 24 and I-94 interchange and along TH 24 from I-94 to Wright County 75, and requires acquisition of permanent rights of way for the construction of the new TH 24 and I-94 interchange. 

Construction is expected to begin in 2026.A public hearing is necessary before the City determines whether to provide the required municipal consent for the Project. One or more representatives from MnDOT will be present at the public hearing to present the final layout for the Project.

Any person wishing to express an opinion on the Project will be heard either orally or in writing at the public hearing.
