Planning and Zoning: Notice of Public Hearing

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING: 

The Sherburne County PLANNING ADVISORY COMMISSION will be a partially virtual meeting at 6:00

P.M March 18, 2021, at the Sherburne County Government Center, 13880 Business Center Drive, Elk River, Minnesota to hold a public hearing for all unincorporated areas of Sherburne County in which the County has zoning and land use authority, to consider the following application(s) and other planning and zoning related topics.

In response to COVID-19, Governor Walz has declared a state of emergency. In response to the state of emergency, the only people that will be in attending the meeting in person will be the Planning Commission Chair, County staff and the applicant. Planning Advisory Commission members will participate by telephone or other electronic means. The applicants may also choose to also attend via phone or electronic means. We are discouraging in-person testimony, but if the public chooses to attend the meeting, we are continuing to practice social distancing and masks are required to be worn at all times in the building. Depending on the amount of people in attendance, you may be asked to wait in the hall outside the Board room until the hearing you are interested in begins.

Public comments may also be submitted in writing or heard via phone during the Public Hearing in one of the following manners that will conform with MDH and CDC guidelines to minimize gatherings:

  1. You may submit written testimony by emailing Carrie Winter atwinter@co.sherburne.mn.us by 11:00 a.m., March 18, 2021. Please provide your name and address.
  2. You may submit written testimony to the Sherburne County Planning & Zoning Office, Attn: Carrie Winter, 13880 Business Center Drive, Elk River, Mn 55330, and the Planning & Zoning Office must receive those comments by March 18, 2021. Please provide your name and address.
  3. If you wish to make a comment during the public hearing, please call the Planning &Zoning Office at 763-765-4450 before 11:00 a.m. on March 18, 2021, to receive

(No Public Hearing Required) JDA Builders, LLC: Request for Final Plat Approval of “COUNTRY OAK MEADOWS 1ST ADDITION” Consisting of (6) lots. PID # 01-010-3400. The hearing of these requests is not limited to those receiving copies of this notice, and if you know of any neighbor or affected property owner who for any reason has not received a copy, it would be appreciated if you would inform them of this hearing.

Recommendations made by the Sherburne County Planning Advisory Board may be subject to further action by the Township of Baldwin, the Township of Livonia or the Township of Big Lake, and the Sherburne County Board of Commissioners.

Recommendations that are forwarded to the County Board from this public hearing will be heard at the April 6, 2021 County Board of Commissioners Meeting at 9:00 AM in the County Board Room located at the Sherburne County Government Center.
