NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 726 (BECKER PUBLIC SCHOOLS)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election has been called and will be held in and for Independent School District No. 726 (Becker Public Schools), State of Minnesota, on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, for the purpose of voting on the following question:

Approval of School District Bond Issue
| Yes No | Shall the school board of Independent School District No. 726 (Becker Public Schools) be authorized to issue its general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $37,500,000 to provide funds for the acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities, including the construction and equipping of classroom additions, the creation of flexible academic spaces and student commons areas, remodeling and equipping of career and technical education classrooms and facilities, construction, equipping and installation of an athletic field, upgrades to HVAC, plumbing, electrical and lighting systems, remodeling and updates to flooring, cabinetry and doors, remodeling and equipping of kitchens and cafeterias, the repair, replacement and installation of the roofs at the intermediate school and high school, the construction of a transportation and bus facility, the remodeling and equipping of media centers, and the construction of secure entrances and security and safety improvements to all schools sites? The combined polling place for this election and the precincts served by that polling place will be as follows:

This combined polling place serves all territory located in Independent School District No. 726; Sherburne County, Minnesota
Any eligible voter residing in the school district may vote at said election at the combined polling place designated above. The polls for said election will be opened at 7:00 o'clock a.m. and will close at 8:00 o'clock p.m. on the date of said election.
A voter must be registered to vote to be eligible to vote in this election. An unregistered individual may register to vote at the combined polling place on election day.
