Chair Swanson called the special meeting of the School Board of District #726 to order on the 13th day of November, 2020 at 2:22 p.m. in the Teaching & Learning Center.
Roll Call.
Members present: Aaron Jurek, Jason Kindred, Lori Molus, Ryan Obermoller, Connie Robinson, Mark Swanson
Members absent: None
Others present: Jeremy Schmidt, Superintendent
Motion by Aaron Jurek, seconded by Ryan Obermoller, to Certify the Canvassed Returns of the State General Election held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS
OF VOTES OF SCHOOL DISTRICT GENERAL ELECTION
BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of Independent School District No. 726, as follows:
1. It is hereby found, determined and declared that the general election of the voters of the district held on November 3rd, 2020, was in all respects duly and legally called and held.
2. As specified in the attached Abstract and Return of Votes Cast, a total of 10,852 voters of the district vote at said election on th election of three school board members for four-term vacancies on the board casued by expiration of term on the first Monday in January next following the general election as follows:
Sarah Schafer 3,264
Cindy Graham 3,192
Connie Robinson 2,851
Write-In 93
3. Sarah Schafer, Cindy Graham & Connie Robinson, having received the highest number of votes, are elected to four-year terms beginning the first Monday in January, 2021.
4. The school district clerk is hereby authorized to certify the results of the election to the county auditor of each county in which the school district is located in whole or in part.
Upon roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:24 p.m.
