AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A FRANCHISE TO MIDCONTINENT COMMUNICATIONS TO MAINTAIN A CABLE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM IN CLEARWATER TOWNSHIP, MINNESOTA; SETTING FORTH CONDITIONS ACCOMPANYING THE GRANT OF THE FRANCHISE; PROVIDING FOR REGULATION AND USE OF THE SYSTEM; AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF ITS PROVISIONS

The Town Board of the Clearwater Township on the 1 day of March, 2021, adopted an ordinance entitled "An Ordinance Granting A Franchise To Midcontinent Communications To Maintain A Cable Communications System In Clearwater Township, Minnesota; Setting Forth Conditions Accompanying The Grant Of The Franchise; Providing For Regulation And Use Of The System; And Prescribing Penalties For The Violation Of Its Provisions" This ordinance grants a cable television franchise to Midcontinent Communications to operate cable service in Clearwater Township for a period of 10 years. The franchise agreement sets the terms of operation of the cable system, authorizes the installation of cable facilities in the City's rights of way, requires Midcontinent Communications to comply with all applicable laws and recommendations, and sets other terms of operation for Midcontinent Communications' cable television franchise.

The Clearwater Town Board has approved the text of this Summary for publication and has determined that this Summary clearly informs the public of the intent and effect of the Ordinance. Complete copies of the Ordinance are available from the Township Clerk.
