Notice of Filing for City Election 
2018 Regular Election
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that filing for Mayor and City Council will open Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. and close Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. OFFICES TO BE FILLED:  One (1) Mayoral position, which serves a two-year term and two (2) Council member positions, which serve a four-year term.  All terms begin January 7, 2019 (First Monday in January.)
Affidavits of Candidacy will be available and received weekdays beginning Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the Clearwater City Hall, 605 County Road 75, during regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday –Thursday and until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2018.  You must state as to which seat or position that you are filing for on your Affidavit.
The following criteria must be met for the mayor or council seats.  The candidate:
• Must be an eligible voter;
• Has no other affidavit on file as a candidate for any office at the general election;
• Is, or will be on assuming office, 21 years of age or more;
• Will have maintained residence in the City of Clearwater for 30 days before the election; and
• Must pay the $2.00 filing fee at the time of the filing.
The Election for these City Offices will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in the City of Clearwater, County of Wright, State of Minnesota between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

LYNDEN TOWNSHIP
REQUEST FOR QUOTES - SINGLE SORT RECYCLING
The Lynden Township Board, Stearns County, is requesting Quotes for single sort, residential recycling to be picked up every other week on Friday. Currently there are approximately 535, 64 gallon wheeled recycling bins located at the homes of township residents.
Quote opening is scheduled for at or about 7:30 p.m. on August 6, 2018, at the Lynden Township Hall, 21367 County Road 44, Clearwater, MN 55320. Quotes must be mailed or delivered to the Lynden Township Clerk, Jenny Schmidt, 20517 Woodbine Road, Clearwater, MN 55320 and arrive no later than 6:00 p.m., Friday, on August 3, 2018.
The Township Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Quotes.

LYNDEN TOWNSHIP

PUBLIC NOTICE
Adoption of Updates to Ordinance # 7 Land Use & Zoning, Subdivision Ordinance #8, & Road and Right-of-Way Specifications Ordinance #12
On the 2nd day of July, 2018 the Lynden Township Board of Supervisors adopted the above Ordinances. Due to the lengthy content, a brief summary of the revisions follows:
Ordinance #7: Corrects typographical, grammatical and labeling errors in any Sections and amends Section 6.7 Animal Feedlot Standards, Section 6.32 Commercial Kennels, and Sections 7.23 & 7.24 Sign Regulations to revise and clarify areas where the township is more restrictive than Stearns County.
Ordinance #8: Corrects typographical, grammatical and labeling errors in any Sections and simplifies the Subdivision process in Lynden Township. Ordinance #8 defines Township Major Moderate & Minor Subdivisions and delineates the process to be followed for all Subdivision of land within Lynden Township.
Ordinance #12: Delineates road, right-of-way, and access standards and uses in a separate ordinance. Those standards were previously outlined in the Appendix of Ordinance #8. Ordinance #12 also imposes less restrictive access standards in certain zoning districts.
These Ordinances shall take effect and be in full force immediately following their adoption and upon publication.
