ORDINANCE NO. 2021-11
AMENDING PART II, CHAPTER 117- ZONING
OF THE CLEARWATER CITY CODE
THE CITY OF CLEARWATER HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
City Code Part 11, Chapter 117, Article I – General is hereby amended as follows:
Section 117-1– Definitions is added as follows:
Food shelves (or food pantries as they are sometimes known) serve a community's hunger-relief needs directly, with volunteers and staff distributing food to clients on-site. This distribution is handled differently depending on the food shelf.
City Code Part 11, Chapter 117, Article IV – District Regulations is hereby amended as follows:
Division 11 - C-1 Highway Commercial District, Section 117-691 – Permitted uses is added as follows:
(28) Food Shelf
Division 12 - C-2 Community Commercial District, Section 117-722 – Permitted uses is added as follows:
(29) Food Shelf
Division 15 – I-1 Light Industrial District, Section 117-826 – Permitted uses is added as follows:

Division 17 – P/I Public/Institutional District, Section 117-889 – Permitted uses is added as follows:
(11) Food Shelf
Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and summary publication, which is hereby authorized by the City Council.
