ORDINANCE NO. 2021-02
AMENDING CHAPTER 117 ARTICLE XII
OF THE CLEARWATER CITY CODE
THE CITY OF CLEARWATER HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
City Code Part II, Chapter 117, Article VIII – Fencing/Screening/Landscaping is hereby amended as follows:
The following section which reads:
Section 117-1127 – FENCES
(d) Prohibited Fences.
(7) Plastic webbing, except when used for police control. This shall not prohibit the use of prefabricated plastic material intended to resemble wood products.
is hereby repealed and replaced with the following:
(d) Prohibited Fences.
(7) Plastic webbing, except as follows:
- when used for police control.
- when used to mark snowmobile trails from October 15 to April 15.
- when used by property owners abutting undeveloped land as snow screening. This use is only permitted in rear or side yards and is only allowed from October 15 to April 15.
This section does not prohibit the use of prefabricated plastic material intended to resemble wood products.
Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and publication, which is hereby authorized by the City Council.
