ORDINANCE 2022-01  

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5: DEFINITIONS; SECTION 7: AGRICULTURAL; SECTION 8: GENERAL RURAL; SECTION 16: GENERAL PERFORMANCE STANDARDS; SECTION 17: SPECIAL PROVISIONS

OF THE BECKER JOINT PLANNING BOARD ZONING ORDINANCE

The following official summary of the amendments listed in Ordinance 2022-01 has been approved by the Joint Planning Board of the Town of Becker as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance.  

Town of Becker Joint Planning Board Zoning Ordinance

The Becker Joint Planning Board does hereby amend the Becker Joint Planning Zoning Ordinance as follows:  

  1. Section 5, Definitions, Home Business and Home Occupation definitions shall be amended to delete the current definitions and reference new definitions and categories in Section 17.
  2. Section 7, Agricultural District, shall be amended to include home businesses as Interim Use Permits.
  3. Section 8, General Rural District, shall be amended to include home businesses as Interim Use Permits.
  4. Section 16, General Performance Standards, shall be amended to remove Home Occupations and Home Business in Accessory Structures from the section.
  5. Section 17, Special Provisions, shall be amended to include new definitions of In-Home Businesses, Site-Based Businesses, and On-Site Businesses along with standards and permitting requirements for each category.
