By now all of you have received your Proposed Tax Statement for 2018 from Sherburne County. I hope all or most of you have read it and notice that your property taxes for the city of Becker have increased for 2018. Your city council had promised during the election rhetoric of the 2016 campaign to cut spending and reduce the budget. I hope you will keep this in mind during the election of 2018. Their voting record over the past year will speak for itself. We must hold them accountable. They have fiduciary responsibility to wisely spend our taxpayer dollars.
