The city’s video and audio has been experiencing technical difficulties following another controversial meeting again! The replay of last Tuesday's meeting was not available at the meeting’s conclusion until Monday morning. I think everyone should see exactly what was said and how it was presented so we can draw our own conclusions. I would appreciate if Mr. Pruszinske had mentioned the positive comments to the finance director and the city council from Feb. 17 meeting.
As I recall the council asked Mr. Malo a question about one of my concerns. His face turned red and he gave a blank stare for several seconds before offering a vague answer. Is that the reference to the golf directors incompetence Mr. Pruszinske is referring to as disparaging, innuendos or a personal attack?
I understand Freedom of Expression as a right to express your ideas, beliefs, thoughts and emotions without government censorship. Viewpoint discrimination is protected speech that says if you allow for praise you must allow for criticism and not prohibit another person from speaking on the same topic because their views are different.
Mr. Pruszinske’s employment as city administrator is a privilege, not a right. He is not a citizen of Becker. He also has a fiduciary duty to discontinue the corrupt practice of withholding financial information from the mayor and city council so sound financial decisions can be made.
